Nutmeg Media adapts outstanding children’s picture books to video for young children in the pre-school through early primary grades.Working with the nation’s leading publishers, our evaluation team reviews hundreds of quality picture books every year – to select twelve-to-fifteen of the very best for adaptation to video.

Our programs include works by outstanding authors as Kate DiCamillo, Brian Lies, David McPhail, Eileen Spinelli, Linda Sue Park, Andrew Clement, Eve Bunting, Rosemary Wells, Mem Fox and Charlotte Zolotow , and many more – from writers of popular favorites and exciting new writers. Each video faithfully brings the picture book to life with beautiful iconographic animation based on the original illustrations, dramatic narrations (often by the author of the books!), original music and innovative audio and visual effects.

Nutmeg Media’s picture books-on-video motivate reading, develop learning skills, encourage self-awareness and compassion for others, and introduce basic curriculum themes to better help children understand themselves and the world around them. Each program includes a complete Discussion Guide with questions for before & after viewing, special activities and skills exercises.
